John Carr Seaport Real Estate 2024 baseball Player(s) of the Week 6 - Savannah Country Day's Tyler Scott and Calvary Day School Will Hampton are the standout Players of the Week for Week6.

John Carr Seaport Real Estate sponsors the PSR baseball players of the week and recognizes a standout pitcher and player for that week of play. Senior Will Hampton from Calvary Day School and Savannah Country Day  junior Tyler Scott stood out with their performances at the plate and on the mound to win the honor as the John Carr Seaport Real Estate/Prep Sports Report Players of the Week.

Week 6

Player of the WEEK - Pitcher

Player: Tyler Scott, junior

School: Calvary Day School

Sport: Baseball

Week: March 18, 2024 - March 24, 2024

 

Highlight: Scott, a junior who is a standout linebacker on the Hornet football team, earned a win against Long County by striking out nine batters in six innings and allowing one earned run on March 19, 2024, in a 10-2 Hornet win. He was also 1 for 3 with an RBI at the plate. On the season, Scott has a 3-3 record with an earned run average of 2.48. In 31 innings pitched, he has 45 strikeouts.

 

Coach's Comments: "Tyler has been the backbone of our program for many years, and we wouldn't be where we are today without him. I am proud of him and his accomplishments at Savannah Country Day." Savannah Country Day School Head Coach Nathan Ward.

 

 

Player of the WEEK - Player

Player: Will Hampton, Senior INF/P

School: Calvary Day School School

Sport: Baseball

Week: March 18, 2024 - March 24, 2024

 

Highlight: The senior Vanderbilt University commit went 3 for 3 with a double and home run, scored three runs and two RBIs, and pitched a scoreless inning in a win over Bulloch Academy on March 21, 2024, in Statesboro, Georgia. Hampton leads the Cavaliers on the season with a .476 batting average and six doubles and is second in RBI with 13.  

 

Coach's Comments:  "Will had an exceptional night at the plate against a quality Bulloch Academy team." - Phillip Lee, Head Coach of Calvary Day School baseball.
