Hornets Sting GHSA Class 3A Region tennis titles

It was a new season and region for the tennis teams from Savannah Country Day. Like all sports this season, the Hornets moved from Georgia High School Association Class 1A Private to GHSA Class 3A. With tennis, it was the same results, region championships.

Savannah County Day School boy's tennis team (17-2) won its third straight region championship Wednesday, beating rival Savannah Christian 3-2 in the GHSA Class 3A Region 3 Tournament finals. With the win, the Hornets host Hephzibah on April 20, 2023, in the GHSA Class 3A first round of the state playoffs. 

The Savannah Country Day School girl's tennis team (17-2) defeated St Vincent's 3-1 to win its second straight region championship. The Lady Hornets will host Cross Creek of Augusta as the same as the boys on April 20, 2023, according to the GHSA.net website playoff brackets.
