Ely Brown is this week's Savannah Christian Preparatory School Raider Athlete of the Week! Ely played a pivotal role in the baseball team's victory over Deerfield-Windsor in the 1st round of the GHSA State Playoffs. Ely went 7-10 at the plate over the series and put in an outstanding performance on the mound going six innings with nine strikeouts and only giving up four hits in a must-win scenario in game 2.

Ely has been playing baseball for 13 years and says his favorite memory is beating Calvary and playing against Bob Jones last season. Ely says his goal for this season is to make a state championship run. Ely's favorite thing about being a Raider is the teammates and coaches that he gets to play with.

When asked what it means to be named Athlete of the Week, Ely said, "It's an honor to be recognized among the other athletes at SCPS." Please join us in congratulating Ely Brown on being named SCPS Athlete of the Week for April 24th through April 30th!
