The Hollis Stacy Award committee announced the 28th annual winner yesterday. HV Jenkins senior three sport standout athlete BryAnn Pound scooped up top honors. They give the annual award to the most versatile three sport female high school athlete in Savannah. The award was first given in 1993  after Savannah's Lady Professional Golfer Hollis Stacy who is in the LPGA Hall of Fame.

BryAnn played softball, basketball, and soccer. In softball this year, Pound played shortstop and for her entire career. She was a Georgia High School Association Coaches All-Region 3A first team player this past season. BryAnn also received the Savannah Morning News All-Greater Savannah softball first team honor for the second year in a row.  At the plate she had a .507 batting average, scored 47 times and knocked in 20 runs. She had 36 hits in which 14 were doubles, two triples and a pair of homers. On the base path she stole 19 bases in 19 attempts per MaxPreps sports.

On the basketball court for the Warriors, BryAnn averaged 5.5 points a game, averaged 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals. Her third sport, soccer, like all other spring sports, was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Jenkins girls’ soccer team only took the field five times this season and were off to a 4-1 start. Pounds scored three goals and  had three assists.

Pound becomes the third Warrior to win the award, Kamesha Mabry won in 1997 and Jasmine Perrett in 2011. BryAnn will take her softball talent next fall to Brewton Parker College.
