Former a South Effingham High School, North Carolina, and current Clemson Tiger standout Alex Brown just made college softball history for herself — and she did it with a bang.

Brown, a senior, recorded her 200th career hit on Saturday in Clemson's 8-7 win over NC State. Even better? That milestone hit was a home run, making the moment even more special for the Tigers' leadoff hitter.

Brown, who began her career at North Carolina, has been a key piece for Clemson since transferring. She led the Tigers with three hits in the game and scored a team-high three runs, helping No. 24/21 Clemson improve to 33-11 overall and 13-4 in the ACC.

The senior now has 202 career hits and is batting an amazing .446 this season, proving she's one of the most consistent hitters in the ACC. Her journey from hitting .157 as a freshman to becoming one of Clemson's top offensive weapons shows how far she's come. Alex's coach had this to say in an article on Clemson's athletic website.

"She's a leader and a gamer," Clemson head coach John Rittman said after the game. "That 200th hit is a huge accomplishment, and to do it with a home run in a one-run game says everything about the kind of player Alex is."

From her early days in Guyton, Georgia, to Chapel Hill, NC, to Clemson, SC, Alex Brown's 200-hit milestone is a moment to remember—and a reminder that hard work pays off no matter where you are!
