Savannah's Chad Chadwell, a junior at Benedictine Military School, won the Men's Club Championship at Savannah Country Club with scores of 79-77, and Savannah's Savannah Lane, an 8th grader at St. Andrew's school, claimed the Women's Club Championship.
Chadwell won by seven strokes over runner-up Jeremy Detweiler, and St. Andrew's junior Morris Lane finished solo third. Chadwell eagled the fourth hole during the final round and played his final nine holes 1-under par to claim the victory.
Lane, who won the SPAL middle school golf championship earlier this year as a 7th grader, carded scores of 78-82 to earn a three-stroke victory over runner-up Carrie Mitchell. Like Chadwell, Lane closed out the win with a strong final nine holes.
