Local junior golfers on winning side at SJGT Cup

Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley, Guyton Madi Saxton, Savannah's Carson Hayes and Richmond Hill's Sahaj Patel all earned a spot on the East team for the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour's SJGT Cup played October 19-20 at the Country Club of Columbus in Columbus, Ga.

The East side was victorious by a score of 39-31 in the Ryder Cup style event that included fourball, alternate shot and singles matches.

Conley, a junior at Richmond Hill High School, finished an impressive 4-0-1 in five nine-hole matches. And Patel, an 8th grader, finished his matches 3-2 to earn three points for the East side.

The teams are selected based on points earned during individual tournaments on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour throughtout the year. Go to SGJT Leaderboard to see all scores from all the matches!
