Richmond Hill's Kivett wins Boys 9 age group at US Kids Golf South Carolina State Invitational

Richmond Hill's Lou Kivett posted a score of 4-over par 76 to win the US Kids Golf South Carolina State Inviational played March 15 at the Cat Island Club on Lady's Island, S.C.

The event was originally scheduled for 36 holes, but weather forced the cancellation of the second round on March 16. Kivett carded three birdies over his final nine holes to post a score of Even-par 36 on his second nine of the round and edge Cole Burris from Canton, Ga., by one stroke.

Kivett was the overall points champion in the Boys 8 age group for the US Kids Golf Savannah Local Tour Fall 2024 season, winning all four events he played. In 2024, he finsihed T37 in a field of 105 players at the US Kids Golf World Championship played August 1-3, 2024 at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C.
