Maeda, Dollander T14 after one round at Vaughn Taylor Championship

Savannah's Bear Dollander, a junior at Benedictine Military School, and Kohki Maeda, a sophomore at Savannah Country Day School, both posted a score of 1-under par 70 in the first round of the American Junior Golf Association Vaughn Taylor Championship being played at Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans, Ga. 

Dollander, the Georgia High School Association Class AAAA state champion, dipped as low as 4-under par and held the lead at one during the round. He and Maeda both trail leader Walker Gantt from Augusta, Ga., by five strokes entering the second round. 

Savannah's Jack Weeks started the tournament with a first-round scoe of 2-over par 73 and is T31. In the Girls division, Richmond Hill's Alexa Mohler, a sophomore at Richmond Hill High School, posted a score of 2-over 73 and is T16.
