Area junior golfers qualify for Georgia Junior Championship

Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley, a rising senior at Richmond Hill High School, posted a score of 4-under 68 at Crosswinds Golf Club in Pooler, Ga., on June 16 to lead a group of are junior golfers qualifying for the 60th Georgia Junior Championship being played at Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta, Ga., July 7-9. 

Conley, runner-up in the qualifier, will be joined by Savannah's Chad Chadwell, a rising senior at Benedictine Military School who posted a score of 2-under 70, and Savannah's Jack Weeks, who carded a score of 1-over par 73 to finish T5. Savannah's Morris Lane, a rising senior at St. Andrew's School, finished with a 4-over par 76 and is the second alternative from the Crosswinds qualifier. 

The qualfiers will join other area junior golfers who are either exempt or who qualified previously, inclduing Savannah's Bear Dollander, who finsihed runner up in the 2024 Georgia Junior Championship at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga., Guyton's Jacob Tasney, Savannah's Hamp Threlkeld and Richmond Hill's Patrick Mahaffey.
