Many standout performances grabbed the spotlight in Week 4 of the 2023 football season. From impressive passing games, touchdown passes, and rushing yards to game-changing fumble recoveries for touchdowns and interceptions. Below is a recap of some the standout football players that defined the week's action on the gridiron.

Furthermore, the Week 5 schedule is below the gridiron standouts.

Week 4 Gridiron Standouts

Benedictine 31, Ware County 24:

* Bryce Baker: 120 rushing yards, 1 TD, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery

* Luke Kromenhoek: 255 passing yards, 3 TDs, 70 rushing yards

* Bubba Frazier: 104 receiving yards

* RaSean Matthews: 1 TD reception

* Ack Edwards: 1 TD reception

* John Lilly: 1 TD reception

* Micah Williams: 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery

Calvary Day 41, Charlotte Christian (NC) 10:

* Jake Merklinger: 278 passing yards, 2 TDs, 62 rushing yards

* Trevor Strowbridge: 2 rushing TDs

* Jay'Den Sutton: 39-yard touchdown catch from Amaree Bedgood

* Isaiah Scott: 23 carries for 199 rushing yards, 2 TDs

* Brayden Hurst: game-winning touchdown pass to Derreon Johnson with 52 seconds left

 

Memorial Day 28, John Paul II:

* Tyler Kindle: 300 passing yards, 3 TDs

* Assir Best: 54 rushing yards, 1 TD

* Craig Harris: 46-yard TD reception

* Julien Zamora: 6 catches, 95 yards, 2 TDs

 

Richmond Hill 49, Creekside (FL) 31:

* Kirk Scott: 10/13 for 130 yards, 1 TD

* Joshua Troupe: 22 carries for 121 yards, 1 TD

* Caleb Easterling: 5 carries for 27 yards, 1 TD, 2-point conversion

* Nick Bliss: 4 carries for 12 yards, 2 TDs

* Brandon McDonald: 4 carries for 30 yards

* Gabe Bauman: 8 total tackles, 1 sack

* Brian Ruland: 6 tackles, 2 sacks
