Results from first round Tim O'Neal Perseverance Cup event at Richmond Hill Golf Club

The inaugural Tim O'Neal Perseverance Cup got started May 27 at Richmond Hill Golf Club with the second round to be played May 28.

In the Girls 15-18 age group, Richmond Hill's Hayden Price claimed a four stroke lead after a score of 1-over par 72 in the first round. Savannah's Maya Lilja-Vazquez finsihed with a 4-over par 75 and will be chasing Price during the second round. 

in Boys 15-18, Savannah's Quentin Brooks, Savannah's Braden Schnaible, Savannah's Finn Nixon and Guyton's Jaconb Tasney all posted scores of 5-over 76 to tie for the lead after one round. Savannah's Alex Dao and Richmond Hill's Kyle Price are only three strokes behind the leaders after scores of 8-over par 79. 

In Boys 11-14, Statesboro's Bryson Lott has an 8-stroke lead after a frist round score of 1-over par 72. And in Girls 11-14, Savannah's Savannah Lane holds a commanding lead after carding a first round score of 10-over par 81.
