In a dominant performance, the girls' and boys' cross-country teams both won their region meets yesterday, October 24, 2023, extending their respective streaks of region championships to 12 and 11 years, respectively.

"The teams' success is a testament to the athletes and coaching staff's hard work and dedication. The program strongly emphasizes catering to the athletes' physical and mental needs, and the results speak for themselves," said Wildcat Head Coach Levi Sybert. "It's a great day for the cross-country program. We have a whole process of work that we go through to get our athletes performing at this level year in and year out. It's very intentional, and it's great to see the results pay off."

Freshman Julia Anastasio and senior Memphis Rich led the way for the girls' and boys' teams. Anastasio won the individual region championship, while Rich won the regional meet for the third consecutive year.

The boy's team claimed their 11th straight title and had all seven runners in the top 20, with four finishing in the top five.
