Richmond Hill's Hannah Barrett carded a 1-over par 73 in the second round of the Georgia Women's Amateur Championship at Horseshoe Bend Country Club in Roswell, Ga., and is T17 going into Sunday's final round.
Barrett, who won the Georgia High School Association Class AAAAAA individual state championship as a junior, was 3-over par through 12 holes in the secound round before ripping off three straight birdies to climb the leaderboard. She's 8-over par for the tournament and 12 shots behind leader Loralie Cowart from Douglasville, Ga.
Barrett, who will play college golf at the University of West Georgia next year, moved to Richmond Hill from Carlisle, Pennsylvania after her sophmore year. She finished second in a Class 3A district tournament in Pennsylvania.
