Richmond Hill's Mohler wins NB3 Junior Masters in Augusta

Richmond Hill's Alexa Mohler, a junior at Richmond Hill High School, posted scores of 70-72 to finish 2-under par and win the Girls 16-18 age group at the NBA3 Junior Masters played April 4-5 at Bartram Trail Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. 

Her two stroke victory earned her not only a framed green jacket but also a berth in the Notah Began III Junior Golf National Championship regional final being played June 30 and July 1 at Bartram Trail Golf Club. At the Regional final, Mohler will compete for a chance to advance to the National Championship tournament being played November 1-3 at Koasati Pines at Coushatta in Kinder, Louisiana. 

In the Boys 16-18 age group, Savannah's Finn Nixon finished with scores of 70-77 for a 6th place finish and also earned a trip to the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship regional being played June 27-28 at Cateechee Golf Club in Hartwell, Georgia. The National Championship for boys will be played November 6-8 at Koasati Pines at Coushatta in Kinder, Louisiana.
