Savannah-Area Flag Football Coaches and 107 Players Earn GHSA All-Area Honors Across Divisions

Flag football continues to grow across Georgia, with the Savannah area once again demonstrating its strength as one of the state's premier regions. Throughout the 2025 season, local teams competed across Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Divisions 1, 2, and 3. Many players and coaches earned recognition for their hard work, leadership, and outstanding on-field performances.

The Coach and Player of the Year awards at every level highlighted teams that showed exceptional preparation, discipline, and competitiveness week after week. Here is the list below by GHSA Divisions.


Division 3 Area 1

In Division 3 Area 1, Southeast Bulloch set the tone for the season. Emma Cate Barron secured Player of the Year, showcasing her all-around skills. Leading the offense, Natalya Odom earned Offensive Player of the Year. On defense, Kristiana Tisby of Southeast Bulloch and McKinley Motes of Portal shared Co-Defensive Player of the Year recognition.

Richmond Hill set the pace in Division 3 Area 2 by earning several key honors. Victoria Wallace was named Player of the Year, while quarterback Claire Holker stood out as Offensive Player of the Year. Tamaira Mallard of Long County and Tailah Christman of Richmond Hill shared Co-Defensive Player of the Year distinctions. Richmond Hill head coach Tony Dragon received Coach of the Year honors.

Groves standout Tamiya Washington earned Player of the Year, while Page Stewart of Calvary Day took Offensive Player of the Year. Iycess Scott of Jenkins received Defensive Player of the Year recognition.

Evangeline Rominger stood out as Offensive Player of the Year, and Helen Hoffman was awarded Defensive Player of the Year honors.

In total, more than 170 Savannah-area players and coaches were selected to All-Area teams or earned top honors across GHSA Divisions 1, 2, and 3. It is another strong reminder of the depth of talent, coaching, and commitment to flag football across the Coastal Empire, and proof that Savannah-area programs continue to set the standard as the sport grows statewide.
