George Futch is this week’s SCPS Athlete of the Week!

George was instrumental in the football team’s win over Valwood last week, finishing with 3 total touchdowns (2 receiving and 1 punt return). George has been playing football for 12 years and says his favorite memory is seeing everyone coming together as a team during 2-a-days.

George says his goal for this season is to have 1000 yards receiving, 20 touchdowns, and win a state championship. George says his favorite thing about being a Raider is seeing the love from the fans every week.

When asked what it means to be named Athlete of the Week, George said, “It means so much to me. I can see that my hard work is paying off.” Congratulations to George Futch on being named SCPS Athlete of the Week for August 29th through September 4th!
