Savannah's Chad Chadwell carded scores of 70-72-69 to finish 5-under par and earn a T7 finish at the US Kids Golf World Teen Championship Bouys 14-year-old division played in Pinehurst, N.C., July 28-30.

Chadwell, playing at the Mid South Club, charged six spots up the leaderboard with his final round score of 3-under par 69. Chadwel, 14, is an incoming freshman at Benedictine Military School who won the Savannah Junior Golf Association's Matt Warren Memorial Tournament played at the Savannah Golf Club earlier in July.

Chadwell wasn't the only Savannah junior golfer who played well in Pinehurst. In Boys 15-18, Savannah's Braden Schnaible posted scores of 73-74-77 on the famed Pinehurst #2 course to earn a T16 finish. And Savannah Christian's Ava Cottis strung together rounds of 77-75-74 on Pinehurst #5 to finish T17 in the Girls 15-18 age group.

Each year, the U.S. Kids Golf World Teen Championship welcomes golfers ages 13—18 to seven championship courses in the Pinehurst area. These courses, this event and the community as a whole have provided a stage for golf’s next generation of stars to shine. Junior Golf Scoreboard, AJGA and the World Amateur Golf Ranking recognize the U.S. Kids Golf World Teen Championship as a ranked event.
