Savannah Quarterback Club handoff last player of the week awards to SCDS Grandy & SCDS Griffin

The Savannah Quarterback Club kept giving awards out this Week as usual, as they have to local high school players throughout the 2022 high school football season. This Week was the last night to do so for the club on Monday, November 14, 2022. The final prestigious award was given out as usual at their weekly meeting on the Southside.

 

The winners listened to, met, and took pictures with the weekly guest speaker. This Week's QB Club speaker was the legendary running back from Georgia Southern University, who played in the NFL with the Chicago Bears running back Adrian Peterson.

Offensive Player of the Week

Michael Grandy, RB Savannah Country Day

 

The Savannah Quarterback Club offensive player of the Week for week 12

is Michael Grandy, the Running Back for Savannah County Day School.

The Senior rushed for 132 yards and four touchdowns in a 62-14 win over

Groves, and on Defense, he added an interception he returned about yards

to midfield. 

 

 

Defensive player of the Week

Elijah Griffin, DT Savannah Christian

 

The Savannah Quarterback Club Defensive Player of the Week for week 12

is Elijah Griffin - A defensive Tackle for Savannah Christian. The sophomore

defensive lineman had eight tackles, including six for losses, 3.5 sacks, a

blocked a punt and a blocked field goal in a 40-6 win over Liberty County.
