Savannah's Nixon wins Hurricane Junior Golf Tour event on Hilton Head Island

Savannah's Finn Nixon, a freshman at Benedictine Military School, posted scores of 78-78 to finish 12 over par and claim a resounding victory in the Boys 14-15 age group at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour's Hilton Head Island Spring Junior Open played May 10-11 at Palmetto Hall Golf & Country Club May on Hilton Head Island.

Nixon won the age group by 23 strokes over runner up James Conroy from London, England. During the first round, Nixon was 9-over par after eight holes and played the last 10 holes 3-under par, and in the second round he was 5-over par through six holes before rallying to play his final 12 holes only 1-over par.
