Savannah's Miller on winning team at GA/SC Girls' Junior Challenge Match

Savannah's Mary Miller, an incoming freshman on Georgia Southern University's golf team and a 2024 graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory School, was a a member of the victorious Georgia team at the GA/SC Girls' Junior Challenge Match played at the King & Prince Golf Club on St. Simon's Island August 3-4.

The top six junior girls in Georgia and South Carolina competed in the 19th GA/SC Girls' Challenge Match, and Georgia claimed the Karen Ferree Trophy. After leading only 10-8 following the first round, Georgia went on to win by a score of 25-11 in the individual match play event.

Miller earned 3.5 points for Georgia in matches against Claire Green from Okatie, S.C., and Caroline Hawkins from Columbia, S.C. Her teammates were Kathryn Deloach from Athens, Ga., Kallyn Black from Greensboro, Ga., Emerson Elm from Milton, Ga., Georgia Blount from St. Mary's, Ga., and Molly Spector from Atlanta, Ga.
