Savannah's Morris goes low to win Matt Warren Junior Championship

Savannah's William Morris, a junior at Savannah Country Day School, won the Boys 15-18 age group at the Matt Warren Junior Championship following rounds of 73-70 to finish 1-under par at the Savannah Golf Club. 

The Matt Warren is the second tournament in the inaugural Tim O'Neal Perserverance Cup series presented by the Savannah Junior Golf Association and First Tee Savannah. Morris finished one stroke ahead of Savanna's Morris Lane, a senior at St. Andrew's School, who finished Even-par after rounds of 73-71. 

With impressive rounds of 77-75, Richmond Hill's Ella Kate Woods, an incoming freshman at Richmond Hill High School, won the Girls 15-18 age group by four strokes over Savannah's Maya Lilja-Vazquez, a sophomore at Savannah Arts Academy. 

In the Boys 11-14 age group, Trip Gasaway won by four strokes over Brayden Peterson, and Richmond Hill's Victoria Grant won the Girls 11-14 age group.
