Local volleyball squads are set to compete in the Sweet 16 round of the GHSA state playoffs today, Saturday, Oct. 19, with several matches on home courts while others hit the road. Here is your schedule below!
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
- Class A-3A Private: Savannah Christian (30-9) hosts Mt. Vernon (26-27) at noon.
- Class 2A: No. 2 seed Savannah Arts Academy (25-15) takes on Rockmart (27-23) at 11 a.m.
ON THE ROAD
- Class 5A: Effingham (28-15) heads to Habersham Central (27-12) for an 11 a.m. clash.
- Class 3A: Islands High (20-16) travels to Calhoun (18-23), with the match set for 11 a.m.
- Class A-3A Private: St. Vincent’s (32-5) faces Providence Christian (30-15) at 1 p.m., while Calvary Day (18-9) meets Holy Innocents (26-15) at 1:30 p.m.
