Saxton wins, Threlkeld and Price notch top 10 finishes at Southeastern Junior Golf Tour event

Guyton's Madi Saxton, who has committed to play college golf at The Savannah College of Art & Design next year, rallied to win the Girls 15-19 age group at the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour's Forest Heights Junior Classic played June 17-18 at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga. 

Saxton posted scores of 78-76 to finish 10-over par and one stroke ahead of Richmond Hill's Hayden Price. Saxton carded birdies on her final two holes in the second round to help her overcome a four-stroke deficit after the first round and capture her first SJGT victory in 2025.

In the Boys 14-15 age group, Richmond Hill's Kyle Price, a rising sophomore, finished 8-over par following rounds of 78-74 to capture a runner up finish in the age group. And in the Boys 15-19 age group, Savannah's Hamp Threlkeld, a senior at Benedictine Military School, earned his third top 10 finish in four SJGT events by posting scores of 77-73 to finish 6-over in 6th place.

Savannah's Caden Hartely, finished T8 in Boys 15-19 after scores of 76-76 to finish 8-over par, and Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley was T10 after posting rounds of 76-77.
