Savannah Country Day School announced that Zack Hargreaves is the new assistant coach for the Hornets Varsity boys' soccer team. With his immense experience as a player and coach, Hargreaves will join the new SCDS athletic director, James Franklin, as a community coach of the team. As Hornet's athletic department stated, the announcement was made in a letter to the SCDS community.

Coach Hargreaves brings a soccer background to his coaching role. He coaches youth teams at Savannah United and is an assistant coach for the SCAD men's soccer team. Hargreaves played for Burnley FC in England, Indiana Wesleyan University, and Missouri State University. Since 2023, he has played for the Savannah Clovers and is the team captain. He also is a Transform Savannah Athletic Club trainer.

Coach Hargreaves' coaching philosophy emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and skill development, which align well with Savannah Country Day's commitment to excellence in sports and academics. Eager about his position, he plans to arrange a team lunch for the players once school resumes. Excited to meet the team, Coach Hargreaves is looking forward to sharing his vision for the program.
