The 60th Georgia State Golf Association Georgia Junior Championship is being played July 7-9 at Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta, Ga., and the Coastal Empire will be well represented.
Benedictine Military School junior Bear Dollander, who was runner up at the 2024 Georgia Junior Championship played at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga., will tee off at 1:10 pm, and Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley, a senior at Richmond Hill High School who recently became the first Coastal Empire player in more than 20 years to qualify for the United States Junior Amateur Championship, will start his first round at 1 pm.
Savannah's Jack Weeks, a junior at Benedictine, will start his first round at 7:40 am, and Savannah's Chad Chadwell, a senior at Benedictine will tee off at 9 am. Benedictine senior Hamp Threlkeld, also a senior at Benedictine, will begin the tournament at 9:10 am, and Richmond Hill's Patrick Mahaffey, a senior at Richmond Hill High School, gets underway at 7:30 am.
