SCPS Scores a New Head Coach for Boys’ Lacrosse

SAVANNAH, GA – Savannah Christian Preparatory School is pleased to announce the hire of Mr. Raymond Orio as the new Head Coach for boys’ lacrosse and middle school football. Mr. Orio comes to Savannah Christian from Deptford High School in New Jersey, where he served as a teacher and varsity football coach and introduced the school’s lacrosse program. With a diverse background in teaching and administration, Mr. Orio is an experienced addition to the upper school faculty at Savannah Christian, where he will also teach math. 

Mr. Orio has this to say about joining the SCPS faculty: “I am looking forward to the opportunity to help in the development of adolescents in all aspects, including mathematics and athletics. I am eager to be a positive addition to Savannah Christian athletics.”

DeMasi has been involved in the Savannah Area sports scene since 1995, and he created the high school magazine "The Prep Sports Report" in 2000. In 2010, the "Coach" started broadcasting The Karl DeMasi Sports Report. He's still going strong, broadcasting on Facebook live and Twitter live every Saturday morning. You gotta love it!
