Benedictine Military School wrestler Aiden Simmons has reached a major milestone in his high school career, earning his 100th career win on the mat.
Now a junior, Simmons has been a steady and successful contributor to the Benedictine wrestling program since his freshman year. He has competed across multiple weight classes, starting at 106 pounds, moving to 113, and now wrestling at 132 pounds this season.

Simmons’ career record shows consistent success. As a freshman, he posted 48 wins at 106 pounds. He followed that with 47 wins as a sophomore at 113 pounds. This season, wrestling at 132 pounds, he has continued his strong performance, recently winning the JCS Memorial Tournament and helping Benedictine place fourth out of 20 teams. For Simmons, the milestone carried meaning beyond the number itself and marked the next step in a much larger journey.
“Reaching 100 career wins meant so much to me, but it’s more of a stepping stone. I’m just at the beginning of my junior year, and I still have bigger goals ahead,” as heard on the Savannah Sports Report YouTube show as the Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week on December 03, 2025.
Simmons started wrestling in Richmond Hill before moving to Texas and returning to the Savannah area in eighth grade. Since then, he has trained with Five Star Wrestling Club and become a leading competitor for Benedictine, also representing Team Georgia at national events. As he has moved through weight classes during his career, Simmons credits that progression with pushing him to continue developing on the mat.
“Moving up through weight classes has pushed me to become a better wrestler. Being at 132 pounds makes me work harder every day to be the best I can be on the mat,” as heard on the Savannah Sports Report YouTube show on December 03, 2025.

Reaching 100 career wins is a reflection of Simmons’ dedication, consistency, and growth through his first three years of high school wrestling. As a junior still in the middle of his varsity career, he continues to build on that accomplishment with more goals ahead for both himself and the Benedictine wrestling team.
