Weeks wins Drip Golf Tour event at Harbor Town Golf Links

Savannah's Jack Weeks, a junior at Benedictine Military School, posted scores of 75-74 to win the Drip Golf Tour's Drip Golf Series Kickoff Played at Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island February 28 and March 1.

The first round was played on the Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III course at Sea Pines on February 28, and Weeks was leading the tournament at 1-under par through 15 holes when play was suspended due to darkenss. The first round was restarted at 8:30 am on March 1, and Weeks played his last three holes of the first round 4-over par to fall down the leaderboard before moving to Harbor Town Golf Links for the second round. 

Weeks started his second round 2-over par through three holes but played his last 15 holes in 1-over par, including pars on the dificult final three holes, to post a total score of 6-over par for the tournament. After waiting for more than an hour, co-runner up Nicholas Rodriguez from Holly Springs, N.C., made a bogey on the 18th hole that secured the win for Weeks. 

Weeks' score of 3-over par 74 at Harbor Town was the second best score of the second round, and the average score in the second round for the 59 players in the field was 84.
