Savannah Lane earned a spot in her first American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) event by winning the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour (SJGT) Forest Heights Junior Classic at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro.

Lane, a rising sophomore at St. Andrew's School, posted rounds of 75 and 75 to win the championship. After opening with a 75 in the first round, she matched that score on day two and recorded four birdies to secure the victory and the AJGA exemption.

Also finishing near the top of the leaderboard was Savannah Arts Academy golfer Maya Lilja-Vazquez. The Class of 2028 standout finished third in the tournament.

The tournament was played July 13-14 at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro.

For Lane, the victory earned a spot in her first American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) event, one of the premier junior golf tours in the country
