The Savannah Parochial Athletic League (SPAL) has officially begun its fall sports season, with local schools competing in volleyball and football. SPAL has been part of the Savannah sports community for over 25 years, providing students with the opportunity to compete, develop teamwork skills, and grow through athletics.
Volleyball
The SPAL volleyball league features four divisions: Developmental, 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade. Schools taking part include Blessed Sacrament School, Savannah Christian Preparatory School, Calvary Day School, St. James School, St. Andrew’s School, Hancock Day School, Memorial Day School, Veritas Academy, and The Habersham School. Matches are already underway as teams look to build momentum in the early season..
Football
On the gridiron, SPAL is running two leagues: 5th–6th grade and 7th–8th grade. Teams representing St. James School, Savannah Christian Preparatory School, Savannah Country Day School, Hancock Day School, Blessed Sacrament School, and Calvary Day School are set to compete across Savannah at local fields and school stadiums.
