SAVANNAH, Ga. — St. Andrew’s School is pleased to announce that Timothy “T” Riley has been named Director of Athletics for the 2025-26 school year. Riley, who currently serves as Associate Athletic Director, has been a valued addition to the St. Andrew’s community this year. As the school continues to grow its athletic program, administrators look forward to the leadership and expertise he will bring to the role.

Riley and his family relocated to Savannah from Houston, where he served as Director of Athletics at St. Francis Episcopal School. There, he led the creation of an Upper School varsity sports program as the school expanded from a K-8 to a K-12 institution. From 2017 to 2023, he was instrumental in designing and implementing a comprehensive athletics program. Prior to his time at St. Francis, Riley spent 12 years at St. John’s School in Houston, a K-12 independent school, where he served as assistant and later head baseball coach, as well as Assistant Athletic Director.

“We are thrilled to have T’s experience in athletics administration, his commitment to student growth, and his steady leadership as we continue to build our athletic programs,” said Dr. Kelley Waldron, St. Andrew’s Head of School.

The school also extends its sincere gratitude to Jeff Gonzalez for his service as Interim Athletic Director since the 2022-23 school year. In addition to his role as Director of Facilities and Security, Gonzalez has served as Director of Operations and Athletics for the past two years. His contributions have included setting high expectations for coaches and ensuring equitable access to athletic experiences for all students. As the school launches capital campaign projects, Gonzalez will return to a primary focus on physical plant and campus security, while continuing to support the athletics program.

“We are deeply grateful for Jeff’s selfless leadership and continued commitment to student success in every aspect of campus life,” said Dr. Waldron.
