The St. Vincent's Academy Riflery team is marching onto the Georgia High School Association State Rifle Championships in Statesboro, Georgia, on April 23, 2022. For the first time since 2018, the Saints have made it back to the GHSA Championships. St. Vincent's is one of 16 semi-final winners, with two teams with the highest losing scores shooting for a state championship at the end of the month.
The Saints outshot GHSA Area 7 number one team Douglas County High School 1114 - 1098. Senior Addisen Kameron led the way in scoring, accumulating 283 points out of a possible 300, and was the high scorer for the match. Twin sisters seniors Madeline and Mallory Mesaros scored 277, followed by freshman Autumn Wolff's 277 total.
"The team has worked hard," said Head Coach Gary Ogden. "I am extremely proud of their performance during the season and postseason."
