SAVANNAH, Ga. — The wait is over. The Prep Sports Report presents its 2025 high school football capsules Part 1 which focus on the eight Savannah-area teams competing in GHSA Region 3-3A. The capsules present complete information about each team including their coach's perspective and essential returning players and their complete game schedule.

The region enters this season with multiple compelling storylines after undergoing reclassification and developing new rivalries last season. The Calvary Day team under first-year head coach Jason Cameron seeks to reload with standout quarterback James Mobley IV and multiple returning players from their 10-2 2024 season. Coach Tony Welch at H.V. Jenkins believes his team can achieve 15 games in the season because they have maintained back-to-back playoff success.

The Beach and Liberty County teams along with Windsor Forest seek to advance to the playoffs after their .500 seasons from last year. Johnson and Islands and Groves introduce fresh energy to their teams through their developing rosters and coaching transitions while striving to improve their standings.

The 2025 season kicks off Friday, August 15, with region play beginning Saturday, August 16, when Calvary Day takes on Beach at Georgia Southern. The race for playoff spots begins immediately after opening weekend.

The complete capsules together with schedules for all Region 3-3A teams are accessible at PrepSportsReport.com.
