The postseason pressure keeps building, and the field is getting smaller across the Savannah area.

Tuesday brought big moments on the soccer pitch. Islands controlled the match from the start in a 3-0 win over Mary Persons to reach the GHSA Class 3A state semifinals. Savannah Arts delivered one of the biggest moments of the night, scoring with 30 seconds left to defeat Drew Charter 1-0 and advance to the Class 2A semifinals, according to Dennis Knight of the Savannah Morning News. Benedictine’s boys soccer season came to an end on the road at Marist, and St. Andrew’s School saw its tennis playoff run end in the GIAA Class AAAA semifinals. Richmond Hill girls also wrapped up a strong postseason run Monday night against Harrison. Now the attention turns to baseball and the state semifinals, with more win-or-go-home games ahead.
