Who gets one last chance to put the pads on to play a high school football game? It all takes place at the 4th Annual WSAV Blitz Border Bowl tomorrow, January 15, 2022. The South Carolina's Lowcountry and Georgia's Coastal Empire teams play each other in the Blitz Border Bowl IV. This high school all-star football game pits the best seniors from each area against each other. The kick-off is at high noon at Memorial Stadium in Savannah, Georgia.

Ticket sales from the game will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire. WSAV put last year's game on hold due to covid-19 concerns.

During the last week, both teams from their respective states were practicing and getting ready for the chance to brag about who has the best group of senior football players. Now let's meet the teams. The 2022 Georgia all-stars from Georgia's Coastal Empire will be under the guidance of New Hampstead High School Head Coach Kyle Hockman. The 2022 South Carolina's Lowcountry Squad is directed by Beaufort High School's Football Head Coach, Bryce Lybrand.

The WSAV Blitz Border series belongs to Team Coastal Empire, leading the series 2-1 over Team Lowcountry. Here is a summary of the first three battles. This year is game number four in the WSAV Blitz Border Bowl saga.

Game number one took place at Pooler Stadium on January 13, 2018, and the Coastal Empire team of Georgia won the inaugural game 15 to 3. In Pooler, Georgia, game two took place again and went to Team Lowcountry, who pulled out a 35-34 win on a game-winning drive with time winding down. On January 11, 2020, game three moved crosstown to Memorial Stadium and saw Team Coastal Empire rebound from the tough loss in 2019 and defeat Team Lowcountry 38-17. Who wins this year?

But most of all, it is to help a worthy cause, the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Tickets for the event are on sale now for $10 each. You can still buy them at the gate on game day. Online ticket sales end at 5:30 p.m. today. Here is the link https://ventures.enmotive.com/events/register/2022-blitz-border-bowl
