Ted Hurst III got his first NFL touchdown Sunday. The former Sol C. Johnson standout caught a 40-yard pass from Baker Mayfield against Minnesota. One catch. Forty yards. A touchdown.
Luke Kromenhoek gave South Florida the lead Saturday. The Benedictine grad ran it in for a 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. USF beat Bowling Green, 14-6, and stayed unbeaten at 4-0. That was Kromenhoek’s third rushing touchdown in his last two games.
Then there’s LaDamion Guyton. The Benedictine freshman had two second-half sacks for Texas Tech in a 49-14 win over Sam Houston.
