The Blitz Border Bowl is an annual high school football game that brings together the best seniors from two regions: South Carolina Lowcountry and Georgia Coastal Empire. It's an excellent opportunity for fans to watch these young athletes before they move on to college and beyond. The event is now on its sixth edition and will take place in one week on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Memorial Stadium in Savannah.

The Blitz Border Bowl is more than just a football game. It's a charitable event that benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire, an organization that provides support and comfort to families with seriously ill or injured children. Tickets for the game cost $15, and you can purchase them by clicking on the link provided. WSAV-TV produces the game and organized the event, and Connect Savannah is the co-sponsor of this year's edition. The goal is to sell out Memorial Stadium and raise as much money as possible for the Ronald McDonald House.

The head football coaches at Bluffton High School, Hayden Gregory, and South Effingham High School's Lorne Purvis, will lead the two teams. Over the next few weeks, they will choose their assistants and the seniors who will make up the teams. The game promises to be exciting, with two first-rate coaches, great football players, and a worthy cause to support.

Savannah's Memorial Stadium is an excellent venue for the game, and it has hosted the Blitz Border Bowl for the past five years. The event has a great history, with both teams winning alternate years since 2018. Unfortunately, the 2021 edition was canceled due to COVID-19.
