The Lowcountry Annie Oakleys have announced the recipients of its 4th Annual Sharon Weeks Scholarship Fund, continuing a tradition that began in 2022 to honor the memory and legacy of Sharon Weeks.

This year's scholarship recipients are Emaline Haddad of Savannah and Savannah Scarisbrick of Kathleen, Georgia.

From left, Savannah Scarisbrick, Anne Boone, board member of the Annie Oakley's of the Lowcountry, Scott Weeks (Son of Sharon Weeks), Emaline Haddad and Janet Nickens, also a board member of the Annie Oakley's of the Lowcountry, pose during the presentation of the 4th Annual Sharon Weeks Scholarship Fund awards on June 6, 2026.

Haddad is a 2026 graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory School and competes with the Forest City Juniors shooting team. She will continue her shooting career at Georgia Southern University, where she plans to compete with the Eagles shooting team.

Scarisbrick is from Kathleen, Georgia, and will be a senior this fall at The Westfield School in Perry. She shoots with the Central Georgia Elite Shooters program based in Macon.

The Sharon Weeks Scholarship Fund was established by the Lowcountry Annie Oakleys in 2022 following the passing of Sharon Weeks, who battled cancer for more than a decade before her death in November 2022.

The scholarship recognizes young women who have been successful in shooting sports, the classroom, and their communities while showing the same hard work, determination, and character that Sharon Weeks displayed throughout her life.

Now in its fourth year, the scholarship continues to support and recognize outstanding young female shooters from across Georgia while keeping Sharon Weeks' legacy alive through the next generation of clay sport student-athletes.
