This week's John Carr Seaport Real Estate Prep Sports Report Baseball Players of the Week honors two two-way players who go to Islands High School's Dylan Stewart and Savannah Christian's Dawson Kelly for their clutch two-way performances that helped their teams in key region matchups.

Pitcher/Player of the Week – Dylan Stewart (Islands High School, Junior)

Stewart came up big in a must-win region crossover game against Jenkins, throwing 6 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 1 run, and striking out 11 batters. At the plate, he went 2-for-4, highlighted by a grand slam in the top of the 6th to seal the win.

"Dylan stepped up for us in a must-win region crossover game. He dominated on the mound and then put the game away with his grand slam in the sixth," said Islands head coach Brandon Collins.

Pitcher/Player of the Week – Dawson Kelly (Savannah Christian, Senior)

Kelly had a big week offensively and on the mound, helping Savannah Christian go 4-0 and complete a region sweep of Swainsboro. He batted .500 (6-for-12) with a double and 5 RBIs, and pitched 4 shutout innings with 9 strikeouts to pick up a win.

"Dawson had a great week at the plate, leading us to a 4-0 week and locking up the 2-seed in region. He's really turned it on heading into playoffs and is clicking at the right time," said Savannah Christian head coach Matt Oglesby.
