Where Are They Now? Former Calvary Day School Cavalier Jasmine Akins

COLLEGE: KENNESAW STATE UNIVERSITY

On Friday, March 13, 2022, Jasmine competed in the Long Jump at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.

In the long jump, Akins placed ninth with a leap of 6.37 meters (20 feet, 10.75 inches). She became the fourth American Sun Conference female athlete and second Owl to represent KSU in the long jump at the NCAA Championships. She was the only athlete in the event to achieve a personal best. As a result of her performance, she has been named a Track & Field Second Team  All-American.
