For the 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years, the Georgia High School Association has divided its member schools into classifications based on the just-released FTE count. Some local schools will move up or down in classification.

Four schools moved up, and one moved down from the Savannah Area in the  GHSA's reclassification phase. Schools have until 11 am on November 9 to appeal their reclassification or request to move up.  Then, after all, submissions and appeals are heard and voted on. School region placements will then be announced. Here is where Savannah Area Schools are classified in the first phase of the GHSA reclassification process.
