Players stood out across Georgia High School Class 3A-Region 3 as coaches honored the best of Savannah-area high school basketball.
The 2026 All-Region 3A Boys and Girls Basketball Teams are set, and Region 3 brought the excitement all season long. Being named All-Region is a big deal. It means coaches from across the region believe you are one of the best players on the court. It rewards hard work, leadership, and big-time performances when games matter most.
The Region 3 tournament has been going on all week at Long County. Teams have battled through early rounds, and now only four remain on each side. All four teams that made it to the boys’ and girls’ semifinals are now state playoff-bound. Friday night, the spotlight gets even brighter with a chance to move on to the region championship. Saturday will feature the 3rd- and 4th-place games first, followed by the championship games.
FRIDAY – FEBRUARY 13 (Semifinals)
3:30 p.m. – Girls: Jenkins vs. Groves
5:00 p.m. – Boys: Calvary Day vs. Liberty County
6:30 p.m. – Girls: Liberty County vs. Long County
8:00 p.m. – Boys: Long County vs. Beach
SATURDAY – FEBRUARY 14 (Finals Day)
1:00 p.m. – Girls Consolation Game
2:30 p.m. – Boys Consolation Game
4:00 p.m. – Girls Championship Game
5:30 p.m. – Boys Championship Game
Now, with the tournament schedule laid out, let’s break down the all-region teams.
BOYS – CLASS 3A, REGION 3
Long County finished 12-1 (21-5 overall) and led the region. Liberty County followed at 11-2, while Calvary Day and Beach posted 10-3 records. Semifinals are Friday at Long County: Calvary Day vs. Liberty County and Long County vs. Beach. The championship is Saturday.
Ricardo Rivera of Long County and Simon Heyward of Beach were named Co-Coaches of the Year. Elijah Brown of Liberty County earned Player of the Year honors. Demetrius Brown of Calvary Day and Jy’son Mallard of Long County shared Offensive Player of the Year. Chol Kiir of Calvary Day was named Defensive Player of the Year.

This boy’s region showed balance and toughness all season. Long County set the tone. Liberty County closed strong with a seven-game win streak. Calvary Day and Beach stayed steady. Four teams remain, and one will cut down the nets.
GIRLS – CLASS 3A, REGION 3
On the girls’ side, Jenkins ran the table in region play. The Lady Warriors finished 13-0 in the region and 21-4 overall. Liberty County and Groves also had strong seasons and are still alive in the region tournament. The semifinals are Friday at Long County, with Jenkins facing Groves and Liberty County taking on Long County.
Brianna Brooker of Jenkins was named Coach of the Year after leading her team to a perfect region record. Mariah Reid of Beach earned Player of the Year. Aniyah Wright of Groves was named Offensive Player of the Year. I’Yarna Lee of Jenkins took Defensive Player of the Year honors.

The 2026 All-Region teams highlight the Savannah area’s talent. These players gave fans big moments. Some seniors made their mark, while others return next year.
