Who’s Aiming for a Program First? Ghsa Fast-Pitch Championships!

Sixty-four teams across the eight classifications have advanced to the Georgia High School Association state fastpitch tournament today in Columbus, Georgia. Three teams from the Savannah Area have advanced to the elite eight and will be trying for the first state championship in program history. 

In Class 5A, South Effingham and Effingham County perennial state playoff teams year in and year out have yet to win a state championship. The last local team will be playing in the Private classification. They had to go through the GHSA's new power ranking system and were ranked ninth. Savannah Christian enters the bracket with eyes on their first title.

Private School Elite 8
Savannah Christian (17-11) vs. Wesleyan (25-1), Wednesday, Oct. 30, 3 p.m.

Class 5A
South Effingham (22-5) vs. Creekview (21-8), Wednesday, Oct. 30, 3 p.m.


Effingham County (22-4) vs. Seckinger (28-5), Wednesday, Oct. 30, 5 p.m.
