As the spring high school sports season 2025 approaches the end, many teams celebrate their achievements as region champions. Several teams from the Savannah area are sharing their region title victories with pride on social media.
Islands High School boys' soccer has clinched the Region 3-AAA championship with an 11-3 overall record and a perfect 9-0 region slate. The Sharks' impressive win percentage of .786 into the postseason brings considerable momentum.
On the girls' side, the Calvary Day Lady Cavaliers soccer team finished their regular season undefeated at 8-0. With a spotless region record, the Lady Cavaliers also claimed the 3A Region 3 title and look poised for a deep playoff run.
Richmond Hill girls lacrosse is also celebrating, finishing atop the GHSA 2A Area 4 with a perfect 4-0 region mark. Despite a 8-6 overall record, the Wildcats are heating up with three straight wins at the right time.
And on the courts, Benedictine's boys tennis team emerged as the GHSA Region 1-AAAA Tournament Champions. The Cadets are making noise again with a number one seed going into the GHSA playoffs with a shot at another deep postseason run.
