Region tournaments continued Thursday night across South Georgia, and now two Savannah-area girls teams will play for region championships tonight. Savannah Country Day and Bryan County have both earned spots in their title games, while Memorial Day and St. Andrew's are preparing for a state playoff game today.
State playoff spots are already secured for GHSA teams, but region pride, trophies, and momentum are now on the line. Meanwhile, the Memorial Day Lady Matadors and the St. Andrew's girls' teams look to continue their state playoff runs..
BOYS REGION TOURNAMENT RESULTS/Region Championship Schedule
GHSA Class 6A – Region 1 (Lowndes)
Lowndes 60, Richmond Hill 56
Richmond Hill will play Tift County in the consolation game Saturday at 4 p.m. The championship game will feature Valdosta vs. Lowndes at 5:30 p.m.
GHSA Class A Division I – Region 3 (Vidalia)
Swainsboro 66, Woodville-Tompkins 32
Woodville-Tompkins will play in the consolation game tonight at 5:30 p.m. The championship game will be Toombs County vs. Vidalia at 8:30 p.m.
GHSA Class A Division II – Region 3 (Metter)
Portal 77, Savannah 63
Savannah will face Metter in the consolation game tonight at 5:30 p.m. Portal will play Screven County for the region championship at 8:30 p.m.

Vidalia 42, St. Vincent’s 20
Savannah Country Day will play Vidalia in the region championship tonight at 7 p.m. St. Vincent’s will face Swainsboro in the consolation game at 4 p.m.
GHSA Class A Division II – Region 3 (Metter)
Bryan County 57, Screven County 54
Bryan County will play Metter in the championship game tonight at 7 p.m.

Memorial Day and St. Andrew's, two girls' teams from Savannah, are still in the GIAA state playoffs. With a win, they'll move on to the semifinals.
