The 17 South Rod & Gun Club SCTP Team is another local youth shooting sports team associated with the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP). It is in Fleming, Georgia, just south of Richmond Hill, Georgia. The 17 SRGC will also participate in the 2023 SCTP National Championships with the Forest City Gun Club Junior team this week, July 5 - July 15, 2023, at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio.
At the SCTP Georgia Championships, the 17 SRGC had over 20 clay sports shooters win awards. The 17 SRGB SCTP Team comprises 62 youth shooters ranging from 5th Grade to college-age athletes and 22 young women. The Team began in 2019 with only 24 members.

The SCTP is a youth development program that uses the clay target sports of trap, skeet, and sporting clays to teach young athletes values such as teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship.
