Savannah 8th grader Kate Barber and Jack Roberts, an 8th grader from St. Mary's, Ga., teamed up to win the gross division of the 2021 Georgia State Golf Association Mixed Team Championship played March 20-21 at Sea Island Golf Club.

The tournament's first round was a modified alternate shot format on the Plantation Course, and teams played a four-ball format on the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club in the final round.

Roberts and Barber weathered the tough conditions to post a 3-over-par 73 in the final round, the lowest round of the day in the Gross Division by two strokes. They had carded an Even-par 72 in the first round to tie for the lead. Roberts and Barber finsihed two strokes ahead of Atlanta's Kit Creighton and Ty Hampel.
