Savannah's Will Doyle carded a score of 6-over par 78 at Riverview Golf Course in Dublin, Georgia on June 30 to win his second Boys 15-18 title in a Georgia State Golf Association Junior Tour 18-hole event of the summer.
Doyle, a senior at Benedictine Military School, was 1-over par through 12 holes to build a sizable lead aand then held on for the win over the final few holes. Earlier in June, Doyle posted a 3-under par 69 at the Club at Savannah Harbor to win for the first time on the GSGA Junior Tour.
On the same day, Doyle's BC teammate, junior Alex Dao, nearly earned a win of his own in the Boys 15-18 age group at a GSGA Junior Tour event played at Richmond Hill Golf Club in Richmond Hill, Georgia. Dao posted a score of 5-over 77 to finish three strokes behind winner Elijah Falken from St. Simon's island, Georgia.
In the event played at Richmond Hill Golf Club, Pooler's Jonathan Budnick won the Boys 12-14 age group by one group over Savannah's Zach Dao, an incoming freshman at BC, with a score of 5-over 77. And in the Girls 12-18 age group, Richmond Hill's Alexa Mohler won on her home course with a score of 5-over 76,
