Big Tourney Wins Across Savannah — Full Schedule & Scoreboard

The region tournament games are in full swing, and region games are still going on  across the Savannah area. Monday night delivered strong defensive efforts, big wins, and teams punching their tickets to the postseason as basketball picks up speed.

Benedictine advances to the state playoffs while Windsor Forest and Calvary Day push through region tournament play.

In GHSA Class 4A – Region 1 boys play, Benedictine took care of business with a 46-33 win over New Hampstead. The Cadets controlled the tempo and made key stops down the stretch to move on to the next round of the region tournament and clinched a spot in the GHSA Class 4A state playoffs.

In Class 3A – Region 3 boys, Islands earned a 62-46 win over Southeast Bulloch, while Groves handled Johnson-Savannah 59-51. 

On the girls' side, South Effingham played tough but came up short, 52-39 in Class 5A Region 1 action. Calvary Day rolled past Southeast Bulloch 50-18, and Windsor Forest shut down Islands 52-17. 

Now the focus shifts to Tuesday night.

Girls Schedule – Tuesday, Feb. 10

GHSA 6A Region 1 

Richmond Hill travels to Lowndes at 4:30 p.m.

GHSA A Region D1 

St. Vincent’s visits Savannah Christian at 5 p.m.

Savannah Country Day travels to Woodville-Tompkins at 6 p.m.

GHSA Class 3A Region 3 Tournament

Windsor Forest faces Jenkins at 5:30 p.m.

Calvary Day meets Liberty County at 5:30 p.m. (at Long County).

Johnson-Savannah takes on Long County at 5:30 p.m. (at Beach).

Jenkins plays Windsor Forest at 5:30 p.m. (at Calvary Day).

Groves battles Beach at 5:30 p.m. (at Liberty County).

Non-Region
Savannah Athletic Association visits Beaufort Academy at 6 p.m.

Boys Schedule – Tuesday, Feb. 10

GHSA 6A Region 1

Richmond Hill at Lowndes at 6:00 p.m.

GHSA Class 5A Region 1 Tournament

Statesboro plays South Effingham at 5 p.m. (at Effingham County).

Effingham County faces Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. (at Effingham County).

GHSA Class 3A Region 3 Tournament

Islands at Long County at 7 p.m.

Windsor Forest at Beach at 7 p.m.

Groves at Calvary Day at 7 p.m.

Jenkins at Liberty County at 7 p.m.

Non-Region
Savannah Athletic Association visits Beaufort Academy at 7 p.m.
